Instructs TEA to consolidate Technology Applications and CTE to remove duplicate courses and focus resources on rigorous courses that advance academic, technical, and industry-relevant skills.

All technology applications courses from grade 7 through 12 are going to receive weighted funding at a weight of 1.35.

Instructs TEA to create a strategic plan for K-12 Computer Science It as well as review and modify the K-8 Tech Apps TEKS to include coding and computational thinking.

Provides dedicated funding for a statewide professional development network to support K-8 teachers in teaching CS and to incentivize high school teacher CS certification.
