Public Policy Steering Committee

PPSC, along with the board, is responsible for developing the CS4TX Policy Agenda, which may address issues that can be dealt with at the legislative, SBOE, or SBEC levels.

The creation of a legislative agenda will also include the development of a framework to evaluate and authorize CS4TX involvement for additional, non-agenda items requiring legislative participation.

This includes:

bill support/opposition requests for members and/or nonmembers;
participation in info-sessions for legislators and legislative staff;
and more.

PPSC will work closely with the Board and the Executive Director during and leading up to legislative sessions.

Megan Mauro

Principal, Texas Star Alliance

Megan Mauro brings over a decade of Texas public policy expertise, legislative advocacy, and strategic coalition building to CS4TX.

As CS4TX’s representative at the Texas Capitol for the 90th Legislative Session, Megan drives our legislative strategy, policy development, and statewide advocacy to advance K–12 computer science and AI education.

She previously served as Interim President and CEO of the Texas Association of Business, collaborating closely with state leaders, legislators, agency officials, and business organizations across Texas. Her background spans key policy areas—including workforce and economic development, technology and innovation, and state appropriations—ensuring strong, strategic representation for the CS4TX coalition.
